(NewsInsights.org) – Presidential candidates stump across various venues in their quests to obtain their party’s nomination and constituents’ votes. On Wednesday, November 1, former UN Ambassador and 2024 Republican president hopeful Nikki Haley joined Charlemagne Tha God as he hosted “The Daily Show” to share her take on the Israel-Hamas conflict. Using language couched in September 11 metaphors, Haley warned Americans they need to be ready for greater global hostilities, including the potential for World War III.
In response to a question from Charlemagne about the current state of events given the Gaza conflict combined with threats from Iran and Russia, Haley responded, “The world is on fire.” She stated that Americans are acting as complacent as they did on September 10, 2001, but warned that they should remember the gut-wrenching feelings and the impetus to act they felt on September 12.
Haley said President Joe Biden doesn’t project strength to the array of global US enemies. Instead, she said they see he’s not performing at his peak. The former UN ambassador said that her experience in world affairs taught her that strength deters aggression. Yet, she indicated that neither Biden nor former President Donald Trump currently projected strength.
On Thursday, November 2, Haley appeared on the Fox News Network program “The Story” with host Martha MacCallum to talk about why Americans should take the Hamas terrorist attack in Gaza personally and how our nation should respond. MacCallum reminded viewers that 10 of the 240 hostages that Hamas took were Americans and that hundreds of Americans remain trapped in Gaza.
Haley stated that the Hamas attack murdered 33 Americans and updated MacCallum’s American hostage number to nearly 20. Still, she said that negotiating a pause in the fighting wouldn’t necessarily bring those hostages home safely or allow safe passage out of Gaza for so many civilians.
Instead, the former ambassador and presidential hopeful reiterated her warning that Iran, Russia, and China are forming an “Unholy Alliance” against the US and its allies, including Israel, Ukraine, Taiwan, and the Philippines. She used the September 11 metaphor for the Fox audience and urged them to prepare for more hostility.
