Biden Admin Accused Of Flying Deported Migrants Into U.S

(NewsInsights.org) – When migrants come to the United States seeking asylum, they have to fill out an application. The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will then carry out an interview process and make a final determination as to whether the applicant is facing a credible threat and should, therefore, be granted permission to stay in the country. If they are denied, they are typically deported. However, new reports are surfacing that the Biden Administration is flying immigrants into the country who were originally deported after their asylum application was denied.

On July 1, the Washington Free Beacon reported that it had reviewed documents and spoke with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials who revealed that the Biden Administration was flying Cameroonians who had previously been deported back into the country under a new program. According to the publication, the program was the US’ response to a report detailing how nearly 100 Cameroonians had been removed between 2019 and 2021 and then mistreated by their government. The abuse they suffered reportedly included torture, arbitrary arrest and detention, extortion, and sexual assault.

Jon Feere, who once worked for ICE and now serves as the Center for Immigration Studies’ director of investigations, said, “These are people who have already had their cases closed, one way or another,” and had been returned to their home countries. He accused the administration of “gutting deportations.” Tom Blank, former ICE chief of staff, concurred and said the Cameroonians were “deported by the order of a court after they were afforded all due process rights.”

The program was reportedly established to avoid a potential lawsuit, and there is pending litigation in New York regarding the alleged abuse of Cameroonian migrants. However, there is no court order stating those deported should return to the US. So far, according to ICE officials, four of those deported have been flown back to the US, and all in all, that number could rise to 28.
