(NewsInsights.org) – Conservative watchdog group Restoration News has launched a new online database to track crimes allegedly committed by undocumented immigrants in the US. The website IllegalAlienCrimes.com debuted earlier this year and grants visitors the power to search for incidents by state or county.
The online database already contains hundreds of entries. While some listings highlight lesser offenses related to illegal border crossing, many shine a spotlight on far more serious crimes, including robberies, sexual assaults, drug smuggling, and human trafficking.
El Paso, Texas, a known hotspot for illegal crossings, accounts for no fewer than 22 of the listings currently available on the database. A number of the entries highlight individuals with strong connections to organized crime groups, including Mexico’s Surenos and Venezuela’s notorious Tren de Aragua cartel.
Two of the entries for El Paso highlight illegal aliens who are allegedly wanted in Guatemala and Honduras for sexually assaulting a child. Two El Paso entries highlight undocumented immigrants wanted in Guatemala and Honduras for alleged child sexual assault. Another entry highlights three Colombian nationals with extensive criminal records, including charges of aggravated assault, homicide, kidnapping of minors, theft, and other violent offenses.
The database for El Paso also contains an entry for a particularly concerning crime that places a spotlight on national security risks. Border Patrol caught 22-year-old Lebanese national Basel Bassel Ebbadi, a known member of Hezbollah who was already on the terrorism watchlist, sneaking into the US on March 9. He told agents his intention was to move to New York and that he was “going to try to make a bomb.”
Restoration News says it updates the Illegal Alien Crimes database often as new information becomes available. It attempts to link each entry to a news site, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, or press release for the crime or criminal in question. You can also submit tips about illegal aliens or known criminals in your area by emailing [email protected].
